Danze faucets are made by Danze, Inc., a company based in Woodridge, Illinois. Danze is a relatively new player in the faucet industry, having been founded in 2001. However, in its short history the company has established itself as a leading manufacturer of high-quality and stylish faucets.
A Brief History of Danze
Danze was founded in 2001 by a group of industry veterans who wanted to bring fresh ideas and contemporary designs to the faucet market. The founders included Alberto Zorzan, who had previously worked at premier faucet companies such as Price Pfister. The company is named after the Danze River in northeastern Italy, reflecting the founders' Italian heritage and their desire to fuse European styling with American manufacturing. Danze's headquarters and main manufacturing facility are located in Woodridge, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. Danze started out designing and marketing their own line of creatively styled faucets featuring ceramic disc valve technology. Their goal was to offer faucets with high-end features and aesthetic appeal at competitive price points compared to other designer faucet brands. Within its first few years, Danze established a reputation for sleek, modern faucet designs at reasonable prices. The company also emphasized technological innovation in areas like water efficiency and ease of installation.Danze's Growth and Acquisitions
Danze experienced rapid growth in its early years. By 2010, just nine years after its founding, Danze was already generating over $100 million in annual revenue. The company's growth has been fueled by strategic acquisitions that have expanded Danze's manufacturing capabilities and product selection. In 2007, Danze acquired Gerber Plumbing Fixtures, a prominent manufacturer of toilets, sinks and other plumbing fixtures. This allowed Danze to start offering a full line of bath and kitchen products. The following year, Danze acquired Encore Decorative Plumbing Products, further expanding its suite of product offerings. In 2011, Danze acquired the assets of American Standard's Lancer Division, which specialized in luxury decorative plumbing. Danze's most significant acquisition came in 2012 when it purchased the assets of Premier Faucet, one of North America's largest faucet manufacturers. This massive acquisition propelled Danze into the top ranks of faucet companies in North America. It also gave Danze complete control over the manufacturing of its faucet products.Danze's Manufacturing Process
With the acquisition of Premier Faucet, Danze gained manufacturing facilities in Jackson, Tennessee and Juarez, Mexico. Danze now manufactures nearly all of its faucet products in-house at these facilities. Bringing manufacturing under its direct control has allowed Danze to implement state-of-the-art production systems and maintain strict quality control at every stage. Danze uses automated, high-precision equipment for molding, casting, machining, and polishing its faucets. Danze's factories also perform all the advanced finishing processes like PVD, which enhances corrosion and scratch resistance. Keeping production in North America gives Danze the flexibility to quickly adapt to market demand. The components that go into a Danze faucet, such as ceramic disc valves, aerators, and supply tubes, are sourced from leading domestic and international suppliers. Danze carefully vets all its component vendors to ensure they meet the company's high standards.Danze's Product Lines
